The awesome remote control car

Here's a little video of Kaleb trying his car for the first time. Very fun.

A Very Merry Christmas

But first we need to talk about cheese balls. Blake and I each made a cheese ball. When we were done I looked at the balls and just started laughing. If anything shows the difference in our personalities, it's these cheese balls. Check them out:

I shouldn't even have to say which one we each made, but just in case someone is reading this who doesn't really know us: Blake's is the perfect one on the left and mine is the hunk of cheese on the right. It was very funny to see our personalities on display for Christmas Eve dinner. At least they both tasted great.

Now on to Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas. Kaleb always wakes up early at our house. It doesn't seem to matter what time he goes to bed, he's usually up by 7 at the latest. Christmas morning was no exception. I heard him get up at 6:30 and go into the bathroom. I thought one of the girls were up since I heard Kaleb say, "Why are you up so early?" He finished in the bathroom, then made his way down the hall. He stopped in front of the girl's bedroom doors and started pacing. I heard him mumbling to himself, and only heard a few words like Christmas....Santa....string. He then walked into the girl's room. I started laughing, realizing that he was rehearsing what he was going to say to the girls to try and get them up so early. Needless to say they didn't need much convincing, but I thought it was so funny to hear him talk out their conversation to himself. He keeps us very entertained.

On Christmas Eve, we acted out the story of Jesus' birth. Becky was Mary, Kaleb was Joseph, and Emily was the donkey among other animals.

I love this video. We told Kaleb to lead the donkey, since he was Joseph, and he kept his hand on Mary's shoulder. Also, the inn keeper did a great job, and I love how the donkey tells Joseph to try the inn one more time.

Here are the highlights of Christmas morning with pictures:

Kaleb got a remote control car, which we have all had fun playing with. Even though we were away from family for this Christmas, Blake set up our webcam and my mom was able to be a part of our Christmas morning. We also talked with most of our family on the phone, and it was great. We love and miss all of you! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

Children's choir at the temple

Becky and Emily had a very neat experience the beginning of December. They got to sing at the San Diego temple with our stake primary choir. They practiced each week for a couple of months, and the performance was very nice. Tom and Dianna and their kids were here visiting at the time, so they got to watch them perform. It was a great way to start the Christmas season. I forgot to take the camera, so the only pictures we have are from Blake's phone, and are not the best quality, plus the girls weren't even looking at us. We have a friend in our ward that takes great pictures and can doctor them, so we have a beautiful 8x10 that he printed for us that has most of the kids looking forward, with the temple in the background. You can see it when you come to visit us. For now, you'll just have to try and pick out the girl's profiles.

Disneyland, Sea World, and Legoland oh my!

The week or so before Thanksgiving we finally got Blake a Disneyland pass, since they were staying open until midnight. We went with my friend, Kym, and her daughter Meg. Here's Blake and Kaleb being so excited on the tram. They show their excitement in different ways.

We also finally convinced Kaleb to ride the Tower of Terror ride. He didn't make one sound the entire ride, although the rest of us were screaming, so I wasn't sure if he was okay. After the ride was over he wiped his eyes and said it was so much fun, he almost cried! It was fun. I love this picture. Kaleb, Blake and I aren't too sure, but the girls are having a blast with their hands up the entire time. Kym and Meg are sitting next to Emily.
A couple of weeks ago we went to Sea World with our friends, the Chatfields. It was the first night of Sea World's holiday shows, so they opened the park just for pass holders. We had a great time seeing the shows and the beautiful Christmas lights.
One of the highlights of the night was when we found three drinking fountains all the right height for our kids. We were all excited about that.
Tom and Dianna's family came to visit last week. We had so much fun with them. My camera is starting to die, so I didn't get a lot of good pictures, but here are a few from Legoland. We also went to our ward party, the beach, and swimming and casino night at their resort. We're so glad that they came to visit!
Here's a Christmas tree made all out of Legos.

Cute Lily in the stroller.

Soap Derby

While in Richfield for Thanksgiving, we had a soap derby. Tom made the track, and everyone had a great time carving their soap cars. I don't have any pictures from the actual race, which was a very exciting one between Craig's coal car and Pauline's car that was made from a bar of very heavy soap. In the end the weighty car won, but it was a close race. Here's a picture of the kids carving their cars.

No time

What with coming back from vacation, speaking in church, teaching in Relief Society, trying to catch up on laundry and trying to get the house cleaned up, I have found little (or no) extra time to update my blog. I thought I'd hurry and upload a few of my favorite pictures from Thanksgiving though.

Some of the Boyer cousins having fun watching Spencer play the wii.

The Torgercousins.

Me and Kirsten. Yeah, we're pretty much twins, only she's older, and looks younger.

We had a great time visiting in Utah, and thanks again to everyone who made the drive to Richfield so I could see you. I miss you all already.

Okay, I can do this

So, I'm getting the hang of this, and finding that it's really simple to use. I don't have time right now to add any more posts, but this is now my official blog!

Testing....

Jenae wants a cuter, funner blog, just like all of our friends and family have, so we're trying out Blogger. If all goes well, we'll make the switch!
