Yesterday we snapped this quick picture in between running errands. The sun was beautiful.
We also found some leaves to play in at Emily and Kaleb's school. This is rare in California and the kids loved playing with them.
It's been a great Halloween. Becky thinks this might be her last year to trick or treat so she wanted to go out with a bang. She, Emily and Kaleb came up with their costume idea a year ago. About a month ago Blake sat down with them and planned how they were going to make it, then got busy constructing it over the last few saturdays. It was well worth the effort though since their costumes turned out great. They even won the most original and best costume awards at our church trunk or treat. Blake also spent two hours pushing Emily and Kaleb around in the stroller since it was too hard for Becky to push. He is now trying to teach the kids about 'parent tax.' Personally I think 30% is a bit steep, but I think he deserves it. The kids are set for months with the amount of candy they all got. It hurts my stomach to look at.

We have decorated for Halloween. The kids thought our home-made tombstones weren't enough so we took a look at our budget and decided we could spend a little money on some "real" decorations. The kids had fun at the Halloween store. I know I would never want to work there. After a couple of rainy days we were able to put out our new decorations. I guess they must be pretty good, since the 3 year old neighbor girl keeps asking her mom if they can walk over to the scary house. I personally like the tombstones the best, but what do I know?
So, conference was great. We really enjoyed the messages that were given. The kids did great with paying attention, but they felt a bit restless. I think it was during the morning session on Saturday that they started building forts out of blankets. When they got too big for the family room, they moved into the front room. This is what we had by Sunday afternoon. They now want to make this a conference tradition. Next time I'll tie in the people of king Benjamin. Emily even helped Kaleb dress up as Nephi when they were cleaning up. I loved it.
